Following a path toward personal succsss is not a cake-walk but definitely doesn’t have to be rocket science either. Honestly, I keep myself focused on EPA( i.e. Envision, Pursue, Achieve) in my personal passions and goals which I firmly believe requires deliberate and strategic ACTIONS!
As a writer and visionary, I like to keep things simple because every once in a while I can take really deep dives into things and of course we don’t have time for that Olympic swim lol! I use EPA as the fundamental base in my personal endeavors and passions. The concept is so simple yet each component has intricacies that demand intentional actions to reach the mark and carryout the goal(s):
imagine as a future possibility; visualize.
The act of envisioning is not always void of opposition. Our minds have an incredible way of playing tricks on us especially when fear kicks in.
Visualizing a desired end can be psychologically accompanied by a automatic fear-based reaction of actually achieving or failing to accomplish the tasks or goal. Applied actions to counter the threats on positive visualization (example of personal practices with backed research) : Mindful-meditation, vision books/ boards, positive self-talk, influential music, and fear-facing tactics...(ACTIONS)
(of a person or way) continue or proceed along (a path or route)
In order to pursue any endeavor, one must first be willing and committed to move on the visions. However, you are required to know and define clearly what it is you want. Perform the necessary research and strategically solicit the expertise/assistance required to carryout the blueprint you visualized and scripted. Applied actions on pursuit (example of personal practices): Research, source (expert/guru) advice/mentorship, personal development (i.e. readings, life-style modifications), re-visiting of the vision constantly to stay on track... (ACTIONS)
successfully bring about or reach (a desired objective, level, or result) by effort, skill, or courage.
Anything worth accomplishing will REQUIRE diligence. The most notable quote I live by in my many visions and pursuits was written by Theodore Roosevelt, “ Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.” In order to be rewarded the prize, you must go through the entire latter process. It requires ACTION and even when you accomplish the desired end you must continue to push beyond your ceiling to set your personal bar higher.
Not all of my personal EPA practices will fit for everyone. Let’s keep it clear and simple! Find out what works for you and apply the basis of your EPA to every endeavor! You will find that the more you execute your personal EPA you will rise to new challenges with a readiness and boldness unlike before! Let me know how it turns out!
